Buskapen vandrer målløst

selv saueflokkene lider.

19 Til deg, Herre, roper jeg,
for ild har fortært beitene i ødemarken
og flammer har brent opp alle trærne på marken.

Selv de ville dyrene stønner etter deg;
vannstrømmene har tørket opp,
og ild har fortært beitene i ødemarken.
