10 Han skjærer ut kanaler gjennom steinene,
Og hans øye oppdager alt som er verdifullt.

11 Han stopper bekkenes strøm,
Og bringer frem i lyset det som var skjult.

«Men hvor finnes visdommen?
Og hvor er stedet for forstand?

13 Mennesket kjenner ikke dens verdi,
Og den er ikke å finne i de levendes land.

14 Havdypene erklærer, ‘Den er ikke i meg’;
Og havet proklamerer, ‘Den er ikke hos meg.’
