3 Da sa Herren til Jesaja: "Gå nå ut for å møte Akas, du og din sønn Sjear-Jasjub, ved enden av vannledningen fra Øvre dam, på veien til Vaskerens mark.

4 Si til ham: 'Vær forsiktig, hold deg rolig, frykt ikke, og mist ikke motet på grunn av disse to rykende stubbene av ved—på grunn av den voldsomme vrede til Resin og Aram og Remaljas sønn.

Aram, Efraim og Remaljas sønn har lagt onde planer mot deg og sier:

6 "La oss dra opp mot Juda, skremme det, og dele det mellom oss, og sette Tabels sønn til konge midt i det."

7 Så sier Herren Gud: "'Det skal ikke stå, og det skal ikke skje.
