Jesaja 41,20

God's power and sovereignty

18 Jeg vil la elver strømme på øde høyder, og kilder i dalene. Jeg vil gjøre ørkenen til vannbassenger, og det tørre land til vannkilder.

19 Jeg vil plassere sedertreet i ødemarken, akasien, myrten og oliventreet. Jeg vil sette einer i ørkenen, sammen med alm og sypress,

slik at folk kan se og erkjenne, kan tenke over og forstå, at Herrens hånd har gjort dette, at Israels Hellige har skapt det.

21 "Fremlegg deres sak," sier Herren. "Presenter deres argumenter," sier Jakobs Konge.

22 La dem bringe dem fram og erklære for oss hva som skal skje. Fortell oss hva de tidligere tingene var, så vi kan overveie dem og kjenne deres utfall. Eller erklær for oss de ting som skal komme,
