John

1 Mens Apollos var i Korint, reiste Paulus gjennom innlandsområdene og kom til Efesos. Der møtte han noen disipler.

2 Han spurte dem: «Fikk dere Den Hellige Ånd da dere kom til troen?» De svarte: «Vi har ikke engang hørt at det er noen Hellig Ånd.»

Paulus spurte da: «Hva ble dere da døpt med?» De svarte: «Med Johannes' dåp.»

4 Paulus forklarte: «Johannes døpte med omvendelsens dåp, og han sa til folket at de skulle tro på den som kom etter ham, det vil si på Jesus.»

5 Da de hørte dette, ble de døpt i Herren Jesu navn.
