21 For Moseloven har blitt forkynt i hver by fra eldgamle tider og blir lest i synagogene hver sabbat."

Da syntes det godt for apostlene og de eldste, sammen med hele menigheten, å velge noen av sine egne menn og sende dem til Antiokia med Paulus og Barnabas. De valgte Judas, kalt Barsabbas, og Silas, ledende menn blant de troende.

23 De sendte følgende brev med dem: "Apostlene og de eldste, deres brødre, til de hedningetroende i Antiokia, Syria og Kilikia: Hilsen.

24 Vi har hørt at noen dro ut fra oss uten vår autorisasjon og har forstyrret dere, uroet deres sinn med det de sa.
