1 Herren talte til Moses og Aron og sa:

2 "Israelittene skal slå leir rundt sammenkomstens telt, hver ved sitt eget flagg, med sine familiers bannere, på avstand.

På østsiden, mot soloppgangen, skal leiravdelingene til Juda være, under deres flagg. Lederen for Juda-folket er Nahson, sønn av Amminadab.

4 Hans gruppe av menn talte 74 600.

5 Ved siden av dem skal Issakars stamme slå leir. Lederen for Issakar-folket er Netanel, sønn av Suar.
