Nathan

2 sa kongen til profeten Natan: "Se nå, jeg bor i et hus av sedertre, men Guds ark bor innenfor teltgardiner."

3 Natan sa til kongen: "Gå, gjør alt som er i ditt hjerte, for Herren er med deg."

Men den natten kom Herrens ord til Natan og sa:

5 "Gå og si til min tjener David: ‘Så sier Herren: Er det du som skal bygge meg et hus å bo i?

6 For jeg har ikke bodd i et hus siden den dagen jeg førte Israels barn opp fra Egypt, helt til denne dag; men jeg har vandret omkring i et telt, det vil si, en bolig.
