Da forlot Moses farao og gikk ut av byen. Han strakte ut hendene sine til Herren; tordenen og haglet opphørte, og regnet strømmet ikke lenger ned på jorden.
34 Da farao så at regnet, haglet og tordenen hadde stoppet, syndet han igjen: han og hans embetsmenn forherdet sine hjerter.
35 Så faraos hjerte ble forherdet, og han lot ikke israelittene gå, akkurat som Herren hadde talt gjennom Moses.
