Egypt

19 Trollmennene sa til farao: «Dette er Guds verk.» Men faraos hjerte var hardt, og han ville ikke lytte, akkurat som Herren hadde sagt.

20 Da sa Herren til Moses: «Stå opp tidlig om morgenen og konfronter farao når han går til elven og si til ham: ‘Dette er hva Herren sier: La mitt folk dra, så de kan tjene meg.

Hvis du nekter å la mitt folk dra, vil jeg sende svermer av fluer over deg, dine embetsmenn, ditt folk og inn i dine hus. Husene til egypterne vil være fulle av fluer, og til og med bakken vil være dekket av dem.

22 Men på den dagen vil jeg sette landet Gosen, der mitt folk bor, til side, så det ikke vil være noen svermer av fluer der, så du vil vite at jeg, Herren, er i dette landet.

23 Jeg vil vise en forskjell mellom mitt folk og ditt folk. Dette tegnet vil skje i morgen.’»
