2. Krønikebok 29,17

15 De samlet sine brødre, innviet seg, og gikk inn for å rense Herrens hus, i henhold til kongens befaling ved Herrens ord.

16 Så prestene gikk inn i den indre delen av Herrens hus for å rense det, og de brakte alt urent som de fant i Herrens tempel ut til gårdsplassen i Herrens hus. Deretter mottok levittene det for å bringe det ut til Kedron-dalen.

De begynte innvielsen på den første dagen i den første måneden, og på den åttende dagen i måneden gikk de inn i Herrens forhall. Så innviet de Herrens hus i åtte dager og fullførte det på den sekstende dagen i den første måneden.

18 Så gikk de inn til kong Hiskia og sa, «Vi har renset hele Herrens hus, brennofferalteret med alle dets redskaper, og skuebrødsbordet med alle dets redskaper.

19 Videre, alle redskapene som kong Akas hadde kastet bort under sin regjeringstid i sin troløshet, har vi forberedt og innviet; og se, de er foran Herrens alter.»
