28 Han gjorde det som var ondt i Herrens øyne; han vek ikke fra Jeroboams, Nebats sønns, synder, som fikk Israel til å synde.

29 I Pekahs, Israels konges, dager, kom Tiglat-Pileser, Assyrias konge, og erobret Ijon, Abel-Bet-Maaka, Janoa, Kedesj, Hasor, Gilead og Galilea, hele Naftalis land; og han førte deres innbyggere i eksil til Assyria.

Og Hosea, sønn av Ela, sammensverget seg mot Pekah, sønn av Remalja, og slo ham og drepte ham, og tok tronen i hans sted, i det tjuende året til Jotam, sønn av Ussia.

31 Når det gjelder de andre gjerningene til Pekah og alle hans bedrifter, er de virkelig oppskrevet i Krønikerboken til Israels konger.

32 I det andre året til Pekah, sønn av Remalja, Israels konge, begynte Jotam, sønn av Ussia, Judas konge, å regjere.
