Jehu

32 I de dager begynte Herren å kutte av deler fra Israel; og Hazael beseiret dem over hele Israels territorium:

33 fra Jordan østover, hele landet Gilead— gadittene, rubenittene og manassittene— fra Aroer, som er ved Arnon-dalen, til og med Gilead og Basan.

Nå resten av Jehus gjerninger, alt han oppnådde, og all hans makt, er de ikke nedskrevet i Krønikene for Israels konger?

35 Og Jehu hvilte med sine forfedre, og de begravde ham i Samaria; og Joahaz, hans sønn, etterfulgte ham som konge.

36 Jehu regjerte over Israel i Samaria i tjueåtte år.
