27 Så laget kong Rehabeam skjold av bronse for å erstatte dem, og betrodde dem til omsorgen til kommandantene for vakten som beskyttet inngangen til kongens hus.

28 Og det skjedde at så ofte som kongen gikk inn i Herrens hus, bar vaktene dem og brakte dem tilbake til vaktrommet.

30 Og konflikt og krig vedvarte mellom Rehabeam og Jeroboam gjennom hele deres regjeringstid.

31 Og Rehabeam hvilte med sine forfedre og ble begravet med dem i Davids by. Og hans mors navn var Na’ama, ammonitten. Og hans sønn Abiam etterfulgte ham som konge.
