27 Da befalte Herren engelen,
og han la sitt sverd tilbake i sliren.

28 Da David innså at Herren hadde svart ham ved treskeplassen til Ornan jebusitten,
ofret han der.

På den tiden var Herrens tabernakel, konstruert av Moses i ørkenen, sammen med brennofferalteret, plassert på den høye plassen i Gibeon.

30 Men David var ute av stand til å gå foran den for å søke Gud,
fordi han var redd for Herrens engels sverd.
