17 Slik bygde Salomo opp igjen Geser, og Nedre Bet-Horon,

18 Baalat og Tamar i ørkenområdet i Juda,

og alle lagerbyene som Salomo hadde, byene for hans vogner og for hans ryttere, og alt det som det behaget Salomo å bygge i Jerusalem, i Libanon, og i hele landet under hans herredømme.

20 Når det gjelder folket som ble igjen av amorittene, hetittene, perisittene, hivittene og jebusittene, som ikke var av Israels barn,

21 deres etterkommere som ble igjen etter dem i landet, som Israels barn ikke var i stand til å fullstendig utrydde, påla Salomo tvangsarbeid på dem til denne dag.
