2 Alle Israels menn samlet seg hos kong Salomo til festen i måneden Etanim, som er den sjuende måneden.
3 Da kom alle Israels eldste, og prestene bar arken.
De førte Herrens ark opp, møteteltet og alle de hellige redskapene som var i teltet; og prestene og levittene bar dem opp.
5 Og kong Salomo og hele Israels menighet, som var samlet hos ham, var med ham foran arken, og ofret så mange sauer og okser at de ikke kunne telles eller regnes.
6 Da satte prestene Herrens paktsark på dens plass, i husets innerste rom, i Det Aller Helligste, under kjerubenes vinger.
