21 Da Baesa hørte om det, sluttet han å befeste Rama og ble værende i Tirsa.

22 Da gjorde kong Asa en kunngjøring til hele Juda—ingen var unntatt— og de bar bort steinene fra Rama og tømmeret som Baesa hadde bygget med, og kong Asa bygde med dem Geba i Benjamin og Mispa.

Når det gjelder alle Asas gjerninger og all hans makt og alt han gjorde, og byene som han bygde, er de ikke skrevet i Krønikeboken til Judas konger? Men i hans alderdom led han av en sykdom i føttene.

24 Og Asa hvilte med sine forfedre og ble begravet med sine fedre i sin far Davids by; og hans sønn Josjafat etterfulgte ham som konge.

25 Nadab, Jeroboams sønn, ble konge over Israel i det andre året av Asa, kongen av Juda, og han regjerte over Israel i to år.
