27 Alle ble så forundret at de spurte hverandre: “Hva er dette? En ny lære — med myndighet! Han befaler til og med de urene ånder, og de adlyder ham.”

28 Straks spredte ryktet om ham seg over hele Galilea.

Da de forlot synagogen, gikk de med Jakob og Johannes til Simons og Andreas' hjem.

30 Simons svigermor lå til sengs med feber, og de fortalte straks Jesus om henne.

31 Så han gikk bort til henne, tok henne i hånden og hjalp henne opp. Feberen forlot henne, og hun begynte å tjene dem.
