17 Foren dem til én stav så de blir én i din hånd.

18 Når ditt folk spør deg: ‘Vil du ikke fortelle oss hva du mener med dette?’

si til dem: ‘Dette er hva den Suverene Herre sier: Jeg skal ta Josefs stav, som er i Efraims hånd, og Israels stammer som er forbundet med ham, og forene den med Judas stav. Jeg vil gjøre dem til én stav, og de skal være én i min hånd.’

20 Hold stavene som du har skrevet på foran deres øyne.

21 Og si til dem: ‘Dette er hva den Suverene Herre sier: Jeg vil ta israelittene fra blant nasjonene hvor de har dratt, og jeg vil samle dem fra alle kanter og bringe dem tilbake til deres eget land.
