6 Moses tok halvparten av blodet og plasserte det i skåler, mens den andre halvparten sprengte han på alteret.

7 Han leste deretter Paktsboken for folket, som svarte: “Vi vil gjøre alt det Herren har sagt, og vi vil adlyde.”

Moses tok blodet, sprengte det på folket, og erklærte: “Dette er blodet av den pakten som Herren har inngått med dere i henhold til alle disse ordene.”

9 Moses, sammen med Aron, Nadab, Abihu, og de sytti eldste av Israel, steg opp.

10 De så Israels Gud, og under hans føtter var det noe som lignet et gulv av safir, klart som himmelen selv.
