2. Krønikebok 8,13

Moses

11 Så førte Salomo faraos datter opp fra Davids by til huset som han hadde bygd for henne, for han sa: "Min kone skal ikke bo i Davids hus, Israels konge, fordi stedene er hellige hvor Herrens ark har kommet inn."

12 Salomo ofret deretter brennoffer til Herren på Herrens alter som han hadde bygd foran forhallen;

og han gjorde det i henhold til den daglige regelen, og ofret dem i henhold til Moseloven, på sabbatene, nymånene, og de fastsatte høytidene tre ganger i året: de usyrede brøds høytid, ukefesten, og løvhyttefesten.

14 Nå i henhold til hans far Davids forskrift, utnevnte han prestene i deres avdelinger for deres tjeneste, og levittene for deres oppgaver med lovprisning og tjeneste foran prestene i henhold til den daglige regelen, og portvaktene etter deres avdelinger ved hver port; for dette var Davids, Guds manns, befaling.

15 Og de fulgte trofast kongens befaling til prestene og levittene i alle saker, inkludert forrådshusene.
