20 Hun svarte dem: “Kall meg ikke Noomi; kall meg Mara, for Den Allmektige har gjort det meget bittert for meg.

21 Jeg dro bort full, men Herren har brakt meg tilbake tom. Hvorfor kalle meg Noomi? Herren har vitnet mot meg, og Den Allmektige har plaget meg.”

Så vendte Noomi tilbake fra Moab med Rut, moabittinnen, hennes svigerdatter, og de ankom Betlehem da bygginnhøstingen begynte.
