40 En mann med spedalskhet kom til ham og bønnfalt ham på sine knær: “Hvis du vil, kan du gjøre meg ren.”

41 Fylt av medfølelse rakte Jesus ut hånden og rørte ved mannen. “Jeg vil,” sa han. “Bli ren!”

Straks forlot spedalskheten ham, og han ble renset.

43 Jesus sendte ham straks bort med en streng advarsel:

44 “Pass på at du ikke forteller dette til noen. Men gå, vis deg for presten og bær frem de offer som Moses har påbudt for din renselse, som et vitnesbyrd for dem.”
