3 Jesus svarte dem: "Har dere aldri lest hva David gjorde da han og hans følgesvenner var sultne?

4 Han gikk inn i Guds hus, tok de hellige brødene og spiste det som bare prestene har lov til å spise, og han ga også noen til sine følgesvenner."

Og han sa til dem: "Menneskesønnen er herre over sabbaten."

6 På en annen sabbat gikk han inn i synagogen og underviste, og det var en mann der med en vissen høyre hånd.

7 De skriftlærde og fariseerne holdt øye med ham for å se om han ville helbrede på sabbaten, så de kunne finne en grunn til å anklage ham.
