11 Så lot han Herrens ark bæres rundt byen, sirklet den én gang. Deretter vendte de tilbake til leiren og tilbrakte natten der.

12 Josva sto tidlig opp ved daggry, og prestene tok opp Herrens ark.

De syv prestene som bar de syv trompetene av værhorn gikk kontinuerlig foran Herrens ark, blåsende i trompetene, og de væpnede mennene gikk foran dem, og baktroppen fulgte Herrens ark, mens trompetene fortsatte å lyde.

14 På den andre dagen marsjerte de rundt byen én gang og vendte tilbake til leiren. Dette gjorde de i seks dager.

15 På den syvende dagen sto de tidlig opp ved daggry og marsjerte rundt byen på samme måte syv ganger; bare på den dagen marsjerte de rundt byen syv ganger.
