28 Så sendte Josva folket bort, hver til sin egen arv.

29 Etter disse hendelsene døde Josva, Nuns sønn, Herrens tjener, i en alder av hundre og ti år.

Og de la ham til hvile i hans arveland, i Timnat-Serah i Efraims fjelland, nord for Gaasj-fjellet.

31 Israel tjente Herren gjennom hele Josvas levetid og de eldste som overlevde ham og som hadde vært vitne til alle de gjerningene Herren hadde gjort for Israel.

32 Og Josefs ben, som israelittene hadde tatt med opp fra Egypt, ble begravet i Sikem på det jordstykket som Jakob kjøpte for hundre sølvstykker fra Hamors sønner, far til Sikem. Dette ble Josefs etterkommeres arv.
