Moses

20 Folkemengden svarte: «Du har en demon! Hvem prøver å drepe deg?»

21 Jesus svarte: «Jeg gjorde ett mirakel, og dere er alle forundret.

Likevel, fordi Moses ga dere omskjærelsen (ikke at den er fra Moses, men fra patriarkene), omskjærer dere en gutt på sabbaten.

23 Hvis en gutt blir omskåret på sabbaten for at Mose lov ikke skal brytes, hvorfor er dere sinte på meg fordi jeg helbredet en manns hele kropp på sabbaten?

24 Døm ikke etter det ytre, men døm med rettferdig dom.»
