Johannes 10,39

37 Hvis jeg ikke kan gjøre min Fars gjerninger, tro meg ikke.

38 Men hvis jeg gjør dem, selv om dere ikke tror meg, tro på gjerningene, så dere kan vite og forstå at Faderen er i meg, og jeg i Faderen."

Igjen prøvde de å gripe ham, men han slapp unna deres grep.

40 Han dro tilbake over Jordan til det stedet hvor Johannes tidligere hadde døpt, og han ble der.

41 Mange mennesker kom til ham og sa: "Selv om Johannes ikke gjorde noe tegn, var alt Johannes sa om denne mannen sant."
