Job 35,12

10 Likevel spør ingen: ‘Hvor er Gud, min Skaper,
som gir sanger i natten,

11 som lærer oss mer enn jordens dyr
og gjør oss klokere enn himmelens fugler?’

De roper, men Han svarer ikke
på grunn av de ondes arroganse.

13 Gud vil faktisk ikke lytte til et tomt rop;
Den Allmektige legger ikke merke til det.

14 Hvor mye mindre vil Han lytte når du hevder at du ikke ser Ham,
at din sak er for Ham, og du må vente på Ham.

This was said to Israel at a particular time, so it is wise to read it together with the surrounding text. Do read the surrounding verses too, because the context often says more than a single verse.
