16 Sannelig, deres velstand er ikke i deres egne hender,
så jeg holder meg borte fra de ondes råd.

17 "Hvor ofte slukkes de ondes lampe?
Hvor ofte rammer ulykken dem,
tildelt av Gud i hans vrede?

Er de som halm for vinden,
som agner feid bort av en storm?

19 Det sies: ‘Gud lagrer opp en persons misgjerning for deres barn.’
La ham gjengjelde dem så de kan kjenne det selv.

20 La deres egne øyne se deres fall;
la dem drikke av Den Allmektiges vrede.
