Jesaja 8,3

Maher-shalal-hash-baz

1 Herren sa til meg: «Ta en stor tavle og skriv på den med vanlige bokstaver: Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz.»

2 Jeg kalte til meg presten Uria og Sakarja, sønn av Jeberekja, som pålitelige vitner for meg.

Jeg nærmet meg profetinnen, og hun ble gravid og fødte en sønn. Herren instruerte meg: «Kall ham Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz.

4 For før barnet vet å si ‘Min far’ eller ‘Min mor’, skal rikdommene i Damaskus og byttet fra Samaria bli tatt bort av kongen av Assyria.»
