Jesaja 23,10

8 Hvem har planlagt dette mot Tyrus, krone-giveren, hvis kjøpmenn var prinser, hvis handelsmenn var æret over hele jorden?

9 Herren over hærskarene har bestemt det, for å vanære stoltheten av all prakt, for å ydmyke alle som er æret på jorden.

Flyt over ditt land som Nilen, Datter av Tarsis, for du har ikke lenger noen begrensning.

11 Herren har strukket ut sin hånd over havet, han har fått riker til å skjelve; han har gitt en befaling angående Kanaan for å ødelegge dens festninger.

12 Han har erklært: "Du skal ikke lenger juble, O knuste jomfrudatter av Sidon. Stå opp, kryss over til Kypros; selv der vil du ikke finne hvile."
