Jeremia 18,3

1 Budskapet som ble gitt til Jeremias fra Herren, og sa:

2 "Stå opp og gå ned til pottemakerens hus, og der vil jeg formidle Mine ord til deg."

Så jeg gikk ned til pottemakerens hus, og jeg fant ham arbeide ved dreieskiven.

4 Men karet han formet av leiren var mislykket i pottemakerens hånd; så han omformet det til et annet kar, slik det syntes godt for pottemakeren å lage.

5 Herrens ord kom da til meg, og sa,
