Esekiel 30,23

Egypt

21 "Menneskesønn, jeg har brutt armen til farao, kongen av Egypt. Den har ikke blitt bundet opp for helbredelse eller pakket med bandasje, så den kan bli sterk nok til å svinge sverdet.

22 Derfor sier den suverene Herren: ‘Se, jeg er imot farao, kongen av Egypt, og jeg vil bryte begge hans armer, den sterke så vel som den brukne, og få sverdet til å falle fra hans hånd.

Jeg vil få egypterne til å bli spredt blant nasjonene og jeg vil spre dem over landene.

24 Jeg vil styrke kongen av Babylon og plassere mitt sverd i hans hånd, men jeg vil bryte faraos armer, og han skal stønne foran ham som en som er alvorlig såret.

25 Jeg vil styrke kongen av Babylons armer, men faraos armer skal falle slappe. Da skal de vite at jeg er Herren, når jeg legger mitt sverd i kongen av Babylons hånd og han svinger det mot Egypts land.
