Esekiel 17,18
16 Så sant jeg lever, erklærer den suverene Herren, han skal dø i Babylon, i landet til kongen som satte ham på tronen, hvis ed han foraktet og hvis pakt han brøt.
17 Farao med sin mektige hær og store horde vil ikke hjelpe ham i krig, når ramper bygges og beleiringsverk reises for å ødelegge mange liv.
Han foraktet eden ved å bryte pakten. Til tross for at han ga sin hånd i pant, gjorde han alle disse tingene; han skal ikke slippe unna.

20 Jeg vil spre mitt nett for ham, og han vil bli fanget i min felle. Jeg vil føre ham til Babylon og fullbyrde dommen over ham der for å ha vært utro mot meg.
