Darius
Det behaget Darius å sette over riket 120 satraper, for å ha ansvar over hele riket,

2 og over dem tre administratorer, en av dem var Daniel, slik at satrapene kunne stå til ansvar for dem og kongen ikke skulle lide tap.

3 Daniel utmerket seg blant administratorene og satrapene ved sin enestående ånd, og kongen planla å sette ham over hele riket.
