Cornelius

20 Stå opp, gå ned og følg dem uten å nøle, for jeg har sendt dem."

21 Peter gikk ned til mennene og sa: "Jeg er den dere søker. Hva er grunnen til deres besøk?"

De svarte: "Kornelius, en offiser, en rettferdig og gudfryktig mann, godt omtalt av hele det jødiske folket, ble instruert av en hellig engel om å tilkalle deg til sitt hus for å høre hva du har å si."

23 Så Peter inviterte dem inn og ga dem losji. Neste dag gjorde han seg klar og dro med dem, ledsaget av noen av de troende fra Joppe.

24 Dagen etter ankom han Cæsarea. Kornelius ventet på deres ankomst og hadde samlet sine slektninger og nære venner.
