5. Mosebok 34,2

1 Moses gikk opp fra Moabs sletteland til Nebo-fjellet, til toppen av Pisga, rett overfor Jeriko. Herren viste ham hele landet, fra Gilead til Dan,

hele Naftali, Efraims og Manasses områder, og hele Juda-landet helt til havet i vest,

3 Negev og hele området fra Jeriko-dalen, palmebyen, til Soar.

4 Herren sa til ham: “Dette er landet jeg med ed lovet Abraham, Isak og Jakob, da jeg sa: ‘Jeg vil gi det til dine etterkommere.’ Jeg har latt deg se det med dine øyne, men du skal ikke gå over dit.”
