42 Jeg vil gjøre mine piler gjennomtrukket av blod, og mitt sverd skal fortære kjøtt— med blodet av de drepte og fangene, fra fiendens langhårede hoder.’

43 Gled dere, nasjoner, med hans folk; for han vil hevne sine tjeneres blod, og vil ta hevn på sine motstandere, og vil gjøre soning for sitt land og folk.

Moses kom og talte alle ordene i denne sangen for folkets hørsel, han og Josva, Nuns sønn.

45 Og så, da Moses hadde avsluttet å si disse ordene til hele Israel:

46 sa han til dem, “Ta til hjertet alle de ordene som jeg advarer dere med i dag, at dere kan lære dem til deres barn, at de kan være nøye med å følge alle ordene i denne loven.
