SihonJahaz

30 Men Sihon, kongen av Hesjbon, var ikke villig til å la oss passere gjennom sitt land; for Herren deres Gud hadde gjort hans ånd hard og hans hjerte sta, for å overgi ham til dere, slik han er i dag.

31 Og Herren sa til meg, "Se, jeg har begynt å overgi Sihon og hans land til dere. Begynn nå å erobre og ta hans land i eie."

Sihon kom da ut med hele sitt folk for å møte oss i kamp ved Jahas.

33 Og Herren vår Gud overga ham til oss, og vi beseiret ham med hans sønner og hele hans folk.

34 På den tiden erobret vi alle hans byer og ødela fullstendig menn, kvinner og barn i hver by. Vi lot ingen overlevende.
