6 De satte onykssteinene i gullfiligransinnfatninger, gravert som et segl med navnene på Israels sønner.

7 Disse ble plassert på skulderstykkene til efoden som minnesmerker for Israels sønner, slik Herren hadde befalt Moses.

Bryststykket ble laget av en dyktig broderer, som efoden, av gull, og av fiolett, purpurrødt og skarlagenrødt garn, og fint tvunnet lin.

9 Det var firkantet og brettet dobbelt, en spann i lengde og bredde.

10 De monterte fire rader med edelstener på det. Den første raden var rubin, topas og smaragd;
