2. Mosebok 15,17

15 Høvdingene i Edom er forferdet; lederne i Moab, skjelving griper dem; alle innbyggerne i Kanaan smelter bort.

16 Redsel og frykt faller over dem; ved kraften av Din arm står de stille som en stein, inntil Ditt folk går forbi, Herre, inntil folket Du har kjøpt går forbi.

Du vil føre dem inn og etablere dem på fjellet av Din arv, stedet, Herre, Du laget for Din bolig, helligdommen, Herre, Dine hender har satt opp.

18 Herren vil regjere for all tid.”

19 Da Faraos hester, vogner og ryttere gikk inn i havet, førte Herren havets vann tilbake over dem, men israelittene gikk på tørt land gjennom midten av havet.
