23 Og alle jordens konger søkte Salomos nærvær, for å høre den visdom som Gud hadde lagt i hans hjerte.

24 De brakte hver mann sin gave: artikler av sølv og gull, klær, våpen, krydder, hester og muldyr, så mye år etter år.

Salomo hadde fire tusen stallplasser for hester og vogner, og tolv tusen ryttere; og han stasjonerte dem i vognbyene og hos kongen i Jerusalem.

26 Og han var hersker over alle kongene fra Eufratelven til filisternes land, og så langt som til grensen av Egypt.

27 Kongen gjorde sølv like vanlig som steiner i Jerusalem, og han gjorde sedertre like rikelig som morbærtrær i lavlandet.
