2. Krønikebok 23,5

Gate of the Foundation

3 Så inngikk hele forsamlingen en pakt med kongen i Guds hus. Og Jojada sa til dem, "Se, kongens sønn skal regjere, som Herren har talt om Davids sønner.

4 Dette er hva dere skal gjøre: en tredjedel av dere, prestene og levittene som kommer inn på sabbaten, skal være portvoktere,

og en tredjedel skal være ved kongens hus, og en tredjedel ved Grunnvollen; og hele folket skal være i forgårdene til Herrens hus.

6 Men ingen må gå inn i Herrens hus unntatt prestene og de tjenestegjørende levittene; de kan gå inn, for de er hellige. Og hele folket skal holde vakt for Herren.

7 Og levittene skal omringe kongen, hver mann med sine våpen i hånden; og den som går inn i huset skal drepes. Og dere skal være med kongen når han kommer inn og når han går ut."
