2. Kongebok 25,14

12 Men høvdingen over livvakten lot noen av de fattigste i landet bli igjen for å være vinbønder og bønder.

13 Bronsepilarene som var i Herrens hus, sammen med stativene og bronsesjøen, ble brutt i stykker av kaldeerne, som førte bronsen til Babylon.

De tok også bort karrene, skuffene, lyseslukkene, skjeene, og alle bronseredskapene som ble brukt i tempeltjenesten.

15 Høvdingen over livvakten tok også bort ildpannene og fatene, hva som enn var av fint gull og hva som enn var av fint sølv.

16 De to pilarene, den ene sjøen, og stativene som Salomo hadde laget for Herrens hus— bronsen av alle disse karene var uten vekt.
