13 Joasj, konge av Israel, fanget Amasja, konge av Juda, sønn av Joasj, sønn av Akasja, ved Bet-Sjemesj. Han dro deretter til Jerusalem og rev ned Jerusalems mur fra Efraims port til Hjørneporten, en avstand på fire hundre alen.
14 Han tok alt gullet og sølvet og alle redskapene som ble funnet i Herrens hus og i skattkamrene i kongens hus, sammen med gisler, og vendte tilbake til Samaria.
