15 Han kysset alle brødrene sine og gråt over dem. Etterpå snakket brødrene hans med ham.

16 Da nyheten nådde faraos hus om at Josefs brødre var kommet, gledet det farao og hans tjenere.

Farao instruerte Josef: «Si til brødrene dine: ‘Dette skal dere gjøre: Last dyrene deres og dra tilbake til Kanaans land,

18 og bring deres far og deres husstander tilbake til meg. Jeg vil gi dere det beste av landet Egypt, og dere skal nyte landets fedme.’

19 Dere er også instruert: ‘Gjør dette: Ta noen vogner fra Egypt til deres små barn og deres koner, og bring deres far og kom.
