4 Ada fødte Elifas for Esau, mens Basmat fødte Reuel.

og Oholibama fødte Je'usj, Jalam og Korah. Dette er også Esaus sønner, som ble født til ham i Kanaans land.

6 Esau tok sine koner, sønner, døtre og alle medlemmer av sitt hus, sammen med sin buskap, sitt kveg og all sin eiendom som han hadde skaffet seg i Kanaan, og flyttet til et land et stykke fra sin bror Jakob.

7 For deres eiendeler var for mange til at de kunne bo sammen; landet hvor de bodde kunne ikke forsørge dem på grunn av deres buskap.
