7 Det totale antall år av Abrahams liv var 175 år.

8 Abraham utåndet, døde i en høy alder, en gammel mann og mett av dager; og han ble samlet til sitt folk.

Hans sønner Isak og Ismael begravde ham i hulen i Makpela, på marken til Efron, sønn av Sohar hetitten, nær Mamre,

10 marken Abraham hadde kjøpt fra sønnene til Het. Der ble Abraham begravet med sin kone Sara.

11 Etter Abrahams død velsignet Gud hans sønn Isak, og Isak bosatte seg nær Beer-lahai-roi.
